Man Robbed at Gunpoint Walking Home from 7-Eleven

Fredericksburg police incidents reported September 12, 2013. Where an arrest is mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

ARMED ROBBERY:
1000 block Roffman Rd, 9/11 10:15 p.m. A 23-year-old city resident reported that he was walking from the 7-11 back to his home when an unknown male approached him from behind and pushed the barrel of a gun against his torso.


The offender demanded that the victim give up his money and the victim complied by throwing his wallet on the ground. The offender grabbed the wallet and ran from the scene.

The suspect was described as a black male with shoulder length dreadlocks, in his 20s, approximately 5’7” and with a thin build.  He was wearing dark clothing and had something covering his face. The investigation is ongoing.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT:
3300 block Plank Rd, 9/11 9:45 p.m. A 25-year-old city resident reported that he had a brief verbal altercation with an unknown male driving a red Chevrolet hatchback in the parking lot of the Wawa in Central Park.

After that first confrontation the unknown male, accompanied by a female, got back in his car and followed the victim out of the parking lot to the front of Regal Cinemas.

The offender got out of his car and confronted the victim a second time. During the argument, the offender pulled out a knife and threatened the victim, then used the knife to scratch and damage the victim’s vehicle before leaving the scene.

The suspect was described as a white male in his early 20s, approximately 5’8” and 175 pounds, and wearing a cast on his right arm. The investigation is ongoing.

400 block Dunmore St, 9/11 8:30 p.m. A 57-year-old resident reported that an unknown male came to his house asking for his roommate. When the resident told the male that the roommate wasn’t home and to get off the porch, the unknown male pulled out a knife and threatened violence.

The suspect left the scene on foot when the resident told him he was calling the police.

The suspect was described as a black male in his 30s, approximately 6’ and 190 pounds. He was bald and was wearing a white T-shirt and blue shorts. The investigation is ongoing.

BURGLARY:
Express Food Mart, 811 William St, 9/11 11:00 p.m. – 9/12 4:45 a.m. An employee reported that when she arrived to open the store she found the interior in disarray and a side window smashed. An inventory of missing items has not yet been completed. The investigation is ongoing.

LARCENY:
1500 block College Ave, 9/7 – 9/8 9:00 a.m. A resident reported that an unknown person stole his bicycle from the carport. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

ARRESTS:
Christopher Wright, 37, of Fredericksburg was arrested on a warrant from Hanover charging him with failure to pay child support.

Richard Turville, 29, of no fixed address was arrested for shoplifting from Walmart.
