Police: Man Turns Self In After Stabbing

The offender was charged with malicious wounding, according to Fredericksburg Police. Stab wound described as serious. Where an arrest is mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

City of Fredericksburg Police responded to Mary Washington Hospital at about 4:40 p.m. Monday for a report of a stabbing victim, Natatia Bledsoe, police spokesperson, said.

A 27-year-old male subject had been dropped off at the emergency department with a serious stab wound to the abdomen.

A short time later, the offender turned himself in to detectives at police headquarters.

Marlon Cortez Brown, 48, of Fredericksburg was arrested for malicious
wounding and incarcerated at the Rappahannock Regional Jail under no bond, Bledsoe said. The investigation is ongoing.
