Marijuana Trafficking Bust Follows Routine Traffic Stop

Stash hidden in trunk had street value of $174,000.

A routine traffic stop on Interstate 95 ended in the seizure of more than 36 lbs. of marijuana, according to the Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Office.

Anthony Miller, 27, of Cleveland Heights, Ohio, is charged with felony Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana.

Two officers made the traffic stop due to an undisclosed minor traffic infraction Wednesday near mile marker 117. The officers reportedly discovered during the interaction with Miller, the driver, that he was transporting marijuana, according to a Sheriff's Office release.

The deputies discovered the marijuana, with an estimated street value of $174,000, hidden in the trunk of the car.

Miller was ordered held without bond.
