The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office arrested a suspect wanted in connection with an early Tuesday morning home invasion.

Maury Edward Williams, 18, of Fredericksburg, was taken into custody by Stafford deputies without incident at 12:43 p.m., Bill Kennedy, Stafford Sheriff's Office spokesman said.  Williams was found driving his vehicle in the area of Cardinal Forest Drive and Bellamy Lane.

Deputies are continuing to search for the second suspect, Travonte Stephon Montivero, 20, also of Fredericksburg.

"Currently both men are facing charges of burglary and robbery," Kennedy said. Montivero is also wanted out of Spotsylvania County for violation of a court order.

At 4:54 a.m. July 2, Stafford deputies responded to a call for a home invasion on Patton Lane.  When deputies arrived, they were informed by the victim that two male subjects had broken into his residence and assaulted him, Kennedy said.

The victim attempted to pursue the suspects as the suspects ran out of the residence.  The suspects fled the scene in a black 2006 Nissan 4DR with Virginia tags WUP9558.  They escaped with an undisclosed amount of money.
