Pedestrian Hit By Car Near Train Station

FREDERICKSBURG POLICE INCIDENTS TUESDAY, JUNE 21, 2011

PEDESTRIAN/VEHICLE ACCIDENT:
300 block Lafayette Blvd, June 21 4:45 a.m. Police responded to the intersection of Lafayette Blvd and Princess Anne St for a traffic accident involving a pedestrian. A female commuter who was walking across Princess Anne St in the pedestrian crosswalk was struck by an SUV turning left from southbound Lafayette Blvd. The victim sustained life-threatening head injuries and was transported by ambulance to Mary Washington Hospital. The driver of the SUV remained on the scene. The investigation is ongoing.

LARCENY:
100 block Longstreet Ave, June 14 – June 20 6:30 p.m. A resident reported that fuel was stolen from the gas tank of her vehicle. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

ARRESTS:

Saad Shami, 20, of Spotsylvania was arrested for trespassing.
