Peeping Tom Alert

Springwood Drive roommates told police they saw a man peeping through a bedroom window of their apartment.

Two roommates on Springwood Drive told police that at about 11 p.m. on March 13 they saw a man looking through an open window of a bedroom where their third roommate was asleep.

The roommates were first alerted to the situation when they heard a noise coming from the side of the house. They yelled at the man and he ran away toward the street. They described him as a Hispanic male, about 5-feet 11-inches tall with short black hair and a white T-shirt.

LARCENY:

  • James Monroe High School, 2300 Washington Ave, 3/13 9:40 am – 11:05 am. A student reported that the lock was swapped out on his gym locker and his iPhone was stolen from inside. The investigation is ongoing.
  • Walmart, 1800 Carl D Silver Pkwy, 3/13 3:00 pm. A shopper reported that she inadvertently left her wallet on the trunk of her car while she stepped back inside the store to retrieve her keys. Another shopper witnessed a female driving a red BMW taking the wallet, and she relayed the license plate information of the suspect car to the investigating officer. The BMW and its driver were located at Heritage Park Apartments and after speaking to the female suspect, the officer was able to recover the wallet and its contents. Alison Mars, 47, of Fredericksburg was arrested for grand larceny and incarcerated at the Rappahannock Regional Jail under a $1000 bond.
