Police Arrest Two in Hotel Robbery

Police identify third suspect, still at large

The Fredericksburg Police Department has arrested two suspects and identified a third in connection with a robbery at the on Sept. 5. Joshua Taylor and Lewis Scott, both age 19 and both living at the inn, were arrested and charged with robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery. Police have also identified a third suspect, Manuel Humberto Michel, of no fixed address, as participating in the robbery.

"Michel's whereabouts are currently unknown," according to a release from the Fredericksburg Police Department. "It is believed that two additional suspects are also involved in this incident, and the investigation is ongoing."

During the Sept. 5 robbery, three men forced their way into an occupied room at the Dunning Mills Inn at 2305 Jefferson Davis Highway. All three we wearing bandanas over their faces, one was brandishing a crowbar. The robbers made off with cash and cell phones from the two guests staying at the inn. The two victims in the room at the time, a boyfriend and girlfriend, were not injured.
