Police Blotter: Two Assaults Reported

The following information comes from the City of Fredericksburg Police Department. An arrest and charge doesn't mean a conviction.

Assault Reported at the Regional Library

Antonio Hill, 30, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with felonious assault on Aug. 29 when a Fredericksburg police officer reportedly witnessed a male subject "assaulting another male by striking him repeatedly in the face," outside the Regional Library according to City of Fredericksburg police reports. 

A 25-year-old homeless man allegedly fell to the ground and was transported by ambulance to an area hospital for a broken jaw, police said.

Police reports said Hill was taken into custody without further incident. 

Two Charged in Altercation on Caroline Street

700 block Caroline St, 8/31 2:15 a.m.

According to Fredericksburg police, officers responded for reports of an altercation and found a group of male subjects actively fighting on the sidewalk in the 700 block of Caroline Street on early Friday morning.

"The parties had become involved in a dispute after leaving Spirits Restaurant. Two of the combatants were subsequently taken into custody: Jose LeBron, 27, of Wesley Chapel, Fla. was arrested for public intoxication and incarcerated until sober; and Richard Fouard, 29, of Stafford was arrested for public intoxication and possession of marijuana," said police reports. 

Police said Fouard was incarcerated at the Rappahannock Regional Jail under a $1,500 bond.

"All parties denied injury and were advised by the officers on obtaining their own warrants for assault if they chose to do so," said police reports.

Larceny: 

Taco Bell, 543 Jefferson Davis Hwy., Aug. 25-30, 8:20 p.m. A customer reported that she inadvertently left her wallet at the restaurant and when she returned to retrieve it, the wallet had been found and placed in the safe by management but a quantity of cash was missing from it. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

Vandalism: 

Fredericksburg Area Museum, 1001 Princess Anne St., Aug. 23–25, 9 a.m. The curator reported that graffiti was found marked in crayon on the walls of the museum. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

900 block Liberty Street, Aug. 30, 1:30 p.m. A neighbor reported that he witnessed a group of children throwing rocks and breaking several windows on an unoccupied residence. The children were identified and the property owner declined to press charges.

Virginia Rail Express Lot G, 300 Prince Edward Street, Aug. 20–30 6:20 p.m. A passerby reported that a white Dodge Intrepid that has been in the lot for some time now has two punctured tires. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

Quaker Steak & Lube, 1300 Central Park Boulevard, Aug. 30–31 2 am. A patron reported that two tires on her vehicle were slashed while the vehicle was parked in the lot. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
