Police: Four Arrested in Robbery Conspiracy

Officers on patrol prevent assault and robbery of 51-year-old victim, according to Fredericksburg Police Department.

Four people have been charged in an alleged attempt to seduce, assault and then rob a 51-year-old victim, according to Fredericksburg Police.

Laura Kinney, 25, of King George; Dashawn Moore-Taylor, 20, of Stafford; Marquis Wellborn, 18, of Spotsylvania, and a 15-year-old juvenile male have been charged with felony conspiracy to commit robbery.

Detectives were patrolling in the area of the Hardee's at 1700 Princess Anne Street early Wednesday, according to a release from police spokesperson Natatia Bledsoe.

Officers noticed a woman sitting in a pick-up, speaking to a man who was standing outside the vehicle. They then noticed three men who appeared to be sneaking up on the pick-up. All parties involved were detained, according to Bledsoe.

"The subsequent investigation determined that the female, along with the three males, had planned to assault and rob the 51-year-old intended victim by first distracting him with the promise of sex," she said.

The three adults were incarcerated at the Rappahannock Regional Jail under no bond and the juvenile was transported to the Juvenile Detention Center.
