Police Investigating Craigslist Fraud

City of Fredericksburg police reports from Tuesday.

100 block of Princess Anne Street: A resident reported that he responded to an ad on Craigslist for a car for sale and wired the agreed upon purchase price to the seller. Since sending the money, the victim has not been able to contact the seller and has not received the property. The investigation is ongoing.

Larceny: 

300 block of Prince Edward Street, Sept. 22 to 24 10 a.m. A homeless male reported that his tree climbing equipment was stolen from where he had left it concealed under a tarp. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

Vandalism: 

1000 block of Wright Court, Sept. 22 noon – 4 p.m. A resident reported that a rear window on his vehicle was broken. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
