Police: Man Unlawfully Taped Job Applicant Undressing

Fredericksburg City Police seeking information on other possible victims.

A man is in custody for allegedly taping a job applicant as she was changing into a uniform in an empty office, according to Fredericksburg City Police.

Mark Allan Haynes, 46, of Spotsylvania, is charged with unlawfully videotaping or photographing a person in a state of undress and without their consent. His bond was set at $2,500.

The 21-year-old victim said she was told to remove all of her clothes and try on a uniform during a job interview in June at Kloke Enterprises, at 300 Lansdowne Road. Kloke is a moving and storage company based in Richmond with an office in Fredericksburg.

More than a month later, she had a second interview and was again asked to remove her clothes and follow instructions. This time, she discovered a camera that had been concealed in the room with her.

After a search of Haynes home, he was arrested Tuesday, according to police.

Anyone with information or who may have been a victim of a similar crime involving Haynes is urged to contact Detective Carlos Reyes at 540-654-5919.

In a corporate statement to WTVR, Kloke representatives stated that Haynes had been fired, calling his alleged actions, "deplorable and completely inconsistent with Kloke’s policies, culture, and values."
