Police Seize Cocaine Worth $15k

Spotsylvania, Prince William County law enforcement agencies arrest two men, discover more than 200 grams of cocaine plus thousands in cash.

Two men are in jail on cocaine dealing charges following a joint investigation by Spotsylvania and Prince William county law enforcement agencies. 

On Aug. 2, detectives from the Spotsylvania County Special Investigation Unit and the Prince William County Narcotics Unit arrested Spotsylvania resident Johnnie Jones and Stafford resident Danny Brown. The arrest, carried out on warrants from Prince William County, happened in the 4000 block of Sherbourne Lane in Spotsylvania. Both suspects were arrested without any trouble. 

A search warrant was obtained for the Sherbourne Lane house and a 2005 Chevy Tahoe. During the ensuing search, police turned up 272 grams of cocaine worth an estimated $15,000. An additional $2,600 in cash was found in the truck and seized.

Jones and Brown, both 26-years-old, stand charged with possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute and conspiracy to possess cocaine with the intent to distribute. 

Both suspects were incarcerated under no bond at the Rappahannock Regional Jail.
