Police: Several Tires Punctured on Downtown Streets

Three incidents at an auto shop lead to the discovery of several other vehicles damaged along area streets, according to Fredericksburg City Police.

Fredericksburg City Police is investigating several cars vandalized in the downtown area overnight between Tuesday and Wednesday, according to a release.

The initial report came from Puliam's Auto Center at 411 Lafayette Blvd. on Wednesday morning. Three customer vehicles left at the shop overnight were found with tires punctured, according to police spokesperson Natatia Bledsoe.

"It was later discovered that a number of vehicles on the Prince Edward and Charles Streets had suffered the same damage," Bledsoe said in a statement.

The investigation is ongoing.
