Police: Thief Grabs Keys From Gym Locker Room

A member at the Gold's Gym in Fredericksburg tried to keep his wallet safe in the car, but a thief got the loot anyway, according to the Fredericksburg City Police.

At 7 p.m. Tuesday, officers were called to the the gym at 2380 Plank Road. A patron told police that an unknown person had stolen his car keys from his gym locker.

The keys were used to get into his car in the parking lot. The thief stole the victim's wallet and used his bank card to make a purchase at an area store, according to police.

The investigation is ongoing.

In February there were a string of thefts at area gyms, including two cars broken into at Gold's Gym.
