Police: Three Firearms Seized for Safekeeping Following Dispute
A man reportedly fired a handgun into the ground during an argument, according to police reports.
Police responded to the 900 block of William Street on Oct. 7 at 3:50 a.m. for a report of a shot fired outside a residence.
Witnesses told City of Fredericksburg police that two male subjects were seen arguing in the front yard and that during the argument, one of the males fired a handgun into the ground as a second male was walking away.
"Officers found one of the involved parties on foot a few blocks from the scene and he was uninjured," said a news release from the City of Fredericksburg police department. "Officers also detained the resident of the home without incident."

City of Fredericksburg police arrested Bernhard Randhahn, 44, for brandishing a firearm, illegal discharge of a firearm within the city limits, and reckless handling of a firearm. Randhahn was released by the magistrate on a $1,000 bond.
"Three firearms were seized from the residence for safekeeping," said the release from the department.
