Robbery at First Citizens Bank

And, more vandalism in the VRE parking lot.

ROBBERY:
First Citizens Bank, 3205 Plank Rd, 10/11 3:00 p.m. Police responded to an alarm activation indicating a robbery had just occurred. Employees reported that a male subject entered the bank and presented a note to the teller demanding money. The suspect implied that he had a weapon but did not display it.

After receiving a sum of cash from the teller, the suspect fled on foot. Officers searched the area extensively but the suspect was not located.

The suspect was described as a light-skinned black male in his 20s wearing a black hoodie with a black leather jacket over it. He had a thin face with some facial hair. The investigation is ongoing.

LARCENY:
400 block Cobblestone Blvd, 9/15 – 10/12 11:00 a.m. A resident reported that an unknown person stole items from his storage locker. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

1000 block Bakersfield Ln, 10/11 – 10/12 12:00 p.m. A resident reported that an unknown person stole his cell phone from his unlocked vehicle. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

VRE Lot G, 399 Prince Edward St, 10/14 7:00 a.m. – 6:20 p.m. A commuter reported that an unknown person broke a window on her vehicle and stole a power cord from inside. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

James Monroe High School, 2300 Washington Ave, 10/14 3:15 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. A parent reported that an unknown person stole two pairs of shoes from his son’s locker. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

VANDALISM:
300 block Canal St, 10/10 – 10/11 4:00 p.m. A resident reported that an unknown person broke the lock off his storage shed in the back yard. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

1200 block Prince Edward St, 10/11 – 10/12 12:30 p.m. A resident reported that an unknown person damaged the lock on his storage shed in the back yard. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

Christ Lutheran Church, 1300 Augustine Ave, 10/12 1:45 p.m. An employee reported that an unknown person spray painted graffiti on the exterior wall of the building. The investigation is ongoing.

1100 block Dixon St, 10/12 – 10/14 4:30 p.m. The property owner reported that an unknown person broke a window on her vacant residence. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

FRAUD:
Quaker Steak, 1300 Central Park Blvd, 10/12 10:00 p.m. A manager reported that an unknown person passed several counterfeit $20 bills. The investigation is ongoing.
