School Bus Blow By Lands Drug Dealer in Jail

Spotsy deputy finds 14.5 grams of pot in car after driver passes stopped school bus.

A suspected drug dealer is behind bars after Spotsylvania Sheriff's pulled over a car for failing to yield for a stopped school bus.

The incident happened at around 3:45 p.m. on October 17 when Deputy Matthew Green was working a traffic enforcement detail near the intersection of Stoney Creek and Ballantraye drives near the Breezewood Shopping Center in Spotsylvania County. The deputy watched a white Dodge Dakota continue past a stopped school bus in the opposite lane which was unloading children at the time.

After being pulled over by Green, the driver, 33-year-old Locust Grove resident Dekete Levi Johnson, said that he did not know he was required to stop for a school bus in the opposite lane.
