Traffic Stop Leads to Heroin Arrest
Law enforcement says the confiscated heroin had a street value of $10,000.
A traffic stop in Spotsylvania County on Sunday led to a $10,000 heroin bust, according to the Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Office.
Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Myrick stopped a white Cadillac Escalade in the area of Harrison Road and Green Arbor Drive on Sunday for a traffic violation.
Deputy Green arrived on scene and used his narcotics detection canine partner “Hulk” to sniff the vehicle. A positive indication from the canine led Deputy Myrick to locate 50 “points” of Heroin inside the vehicle.

Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office narcotics detectives arrived to assist and were able to search a home the suspects stayed in and found 350 more “points” of Heroin. These 400 “bags” of heroin have a street value of $10,000, detectives said.
Jamar James Mack, a 33-year-old black male from Spotsylvania and Amanda Michelle Hoy, a 23-year-old white female from Spotsylvania were both arrested for possession with the intent to distribute heroin and conspiracy to distribute heroin.
