Sheriff's Office Looks to Solve Katherine Bryant Homicide

The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office is requesting the public’s assistance in helping to identify the individuals responsible for the death of Katherine Bryant. Her in the wooded area near the northbound 140 ramp exit of I-95.

Stafford County detectives have been actively investigating this incident, but need the public’s assistance in helping to solve this case.  The death of Katherine Bryant is being investigated as a homicide. She was last seen in the Washington, D.C. area in the summer of 2006, where she was reported missing by family members. 

Detectives were later able to identify the remains as Katherine Bryant of Washington, DC, Kennedy said in a press release.  Bryant's family reported her missing in 2006, when she was 33. Her death is considered suspicious, Kennedy said.

Ms. Bryant was a known associate of one the most notorious, violent drug organizations in Washington, D.C. area history, referred to as Murder Incorporated, according to Stafford County Sheriff Charles Jett. Murder Inc. was responsible for numerous murders, as well as the sale of heroin, cocaine and marijuana, he said.

“This young lady is a daughter and a sister and her family deserves to know who is responsible for her death,” Jett said.  “The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office is committed to finding the person or persons responsible for this terrible crime.”
