3 Chain Saws, 1 Cash Register

And stolen goods returned for store credit.

Fredericksburg Police Department's crime report was unusually weird today.

An employee of Ugly Bishops Tattoo Shop, 2119 Lafayette Blvd, reported someone gained entry by breaking a window during the overnight hours Nov. 19 into Nov. 20.  The robber made off with ... the entire cash register.

The next day at Home Depot, 1201 Gateway Blvd, a woman walked in about 3:30 p.m. to return items for store credit.  Problem was, the items had previously been stolen.

At 5:30 p.m. an employee at Walmart, 1800 Carl D Silver Pkwy., reported a man stole three chain saws from the garden section.

In more 'ordinary' crime news, someone used a counterfeit bill for fare at the bus station on 1400 Jefferson Davis Hwy.

Fredericksburg Police Department public information officer Natatia Bledsoe said all these investigations are ongoing.
