Three Charged In Spotsylvania 7-Eleven Robbery

A total of seven people have been arrested this month in connection with four different robberies in Spotsylvania County.

Three people have been charged with the July 28 robbery of the 7-Eleven at 10501 Courthouse Rd. in Spotsylvania County.

On Aug. 13, the Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Office arrested the following people for the crime: Joshua R. Fields, 21, of Spotsylvania County, who was charged with with robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon; Brandon L. Mills, 21, of Fredericksburg, who was charged with robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony; and Julia E. George, 20, of Spotsylvania County, who was charged with conspiracy to commit robbery.

Mills was also served with an outstanding warrant charging him with a July 29 robbery at the EconoLodge.

At about 3:30 a.m. on July 28, a 7-Eleven clerk told deputies two males dressed in dark clothing brandished firearms and demanded she open the cash register. The suspects pushed the clerk to the floor and took an unknown amount of cash and cigarettes before running away. The clerk was not injured.
