Three Charged in Stabbing Case

Police responded to reports of a fight.

Police have arrested and charged three men with malicious wounding by mob following reports of a fight a house in the 900 block of Roffman Road. 

Fredericksburg police came to the house at 9:45 p.m. on Sunday and found a seriously injured 34-year-old male lying in his backyard, police said. 

"The victim had been stabbed multiple times in the back and struck repeatedly with a pool stick," said police reports. "The victim was transported by ambulance to Mary Washington Hospital and remains in critical condition."

The investigation led to the identification of three assailants who also live in the neighborhood, City of Fredericksburg police public information officer Natalia Bledsoe said in a release.

Bledosoe said the suspects were located at their home on Hickock Circle and taken into custody without incident.

"Jose Maldonado, 28, Ismael Maldonado, 36, and Francisco Martinez, 36, were all arrested and charged with malicious wounding by mob; they were incarcerated at the Rappahannock Regional Jail under no bond," said police reports. "The investigation is ongoing."
