Tree Trim Work Pushed Back

A planned removal of a rotting oak tree has been pushed back a few days.

Work to remove a rotting tree on William Street scheduled for Tuesday, December 6 has been pushed back to Thursday, December. 8 Due to forecasted rain. The tree in question is located in the berm at 905 William Street.

A press release from the Department of Public Works says that the large oak tree must be removed because of extensive decay at the base of its trunk.

Traffic will be routed around the work from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m on Thrusday, December 6.

Eastbound truck traffic will detour onto Hanover Street to continue on to Kenmore Avenue. Other eastbound traffic can continue up to Sunken Road where the street is blocked off.

Westbound traffic will be routed past the site without having to detour.
