Two Additional Suspects Identified in Homicide at Q-Ball Cafe

Police are searching for two more men wanted in the killing of security guard Marcellus "Bull" Greene, Sr.

Investigation by detectives from the Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office and the Fredericksburg Police Department has resulted in the identification of two additional suspects wanted in connection with the drive-by shooting death of Marcellus Greene early Saturday morning at Q-Ball Cafe.

Chauncey Cartier Lampkin, 27, of Spotsylvania and David Davion Burroughs, 25, of Stafford, are wanted on numerous charges related to the shooting death, Capt. Jeffery A. Pearce, Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson, said in a press release.

"The Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance in locating these two subjects," Pearce said. "The public should not approach these individuals, but contact the Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office or dial 911 if they know their location," he said.

A third suspect in the shooting, , was taken into custody on Saturday.  He is charged with use of a firearm during commission of a felony and felony firing from an occupied vehicle.  He is being held in the Rappahannock Regional Jail with no bond.

At about 1 a.m. March 30, law enforcement from the City of Fredericksburg Police Department and the Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting call at Q-Ball Cafe.  Upon arrival, deputies discovered Marcellus Greene, a security employee from the club, lying fatally wounded in front of the main entrance.  Security staff at the club are unarmed, Pearce said.

Witnesses reported an altercation erupted between two groups attending a rap concert.  One group was ejected from the business by club personnel and later became involved in another altercation in the parking lot.  Shortly thereafter, the subjects drove by the club and fired several shots at the front of the establishment, striking Mr. Greene.
