Two Charged With Illegaly Hunting

Police arrested two 19-year-olds for allegedly hunting on land off Riverside Drive.

Two Stafford County men were arrested on charges of hunting without licenses and illegaly hunting wildlife  At about 7:45 p.m. April 14.

Fredericksburg Police spokeswoman Natatia Bledsoe said police were in the area of the 400 block Riverside Drive when an officer hears supicious noises and observed two males on the riverbank shooting a high-powered pellet rifle at
the waterfowl flying over the water.

Antonio Peterson, 19, and Nicholas Cerda, 19, were arrested at the scene. Peterson and Cerda were released on summons and the pellet rifle and ammunition were seized for evidence, Bledsoe said.

BURGLARY:

2200 block Idlewild Blvd, 4/14 6:00 am – 6:50 pm. A resident reported that an unknown person entered her home and stole jewelry, cash, and prescription medication. There was no sign of forced entry to the residence. The investigation is ongoing.

LARCENY:

Ground Keepers, 1515 Olde William St, 4/12 – 4/13 8:00 am. The owner reported that the door was pried off a storage shed and tools were stolen. The investigation is ongoing.

Quaker Steak, 1300 Central Park Blvd, 4/13 2:30 pm – 7:15 pm. A patron reported that the temporary license plates were stolen from her vehicle in the parking lot. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

Rappahannock EMS Council, 435 Hunter St, 4/14 7:50 pm. An employee reported that a quantity of cash was stolen from her purse. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

Firestone, 2708 Fall Hill Ave, 4/12 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. A UMW student reported that her driver’s license and a check were stolen from her vehicle while it was at the shop for repairs. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

Fas Mart, 501 Jefferson Davis Hwy, 4/15 9:25 pm. A King George resident reported that her purse and diaper bag were stolen from her unsecured vehicle in the parking lot. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

VANDALISM:

900 block Sylvania Ave, 4/14 – 4/15 8:15 am. A resident reported that an unknown person set fire to the decorative flag that was hanging from a pole on his porch. The flag was destroyed. The investigation is ongoing.

FRAUD:

Giant, 1245 Jefferson Davis Hwy, 4/13 7:20 pm. A pharmacist reported that a female subject presented a forged prescription for pain medication. The investigation is ongoing.

DUI ARRESTS:

Anthony Johnson, 21, of Annapolis was arrested for DUI in the 1000 block of Sophia Street.

Christian Hutt, 25, of Spotsylvania was arrested for DUI in the 400 block of Riverside Drive.

ARRESTS:

Antwan Childs, 21, of Stafford was arrested for possession of marijuana.

Joseph Djorup, 20, of Fredericksburg was arrested for underage possession of alcohol.

Chad Pleasants, 24, of Powhatan was arrested for public intoxication.

Marquita Parker, 28, of Fredericksburg was arrested on a warrant from Spotsylvania charging
her with assault and battery.

Allen Pratt, 60, of Fredericksburg was arrested for drinking in public.

Garry Fritter, 56, of no fixed address was arrested for drinking in public.

Michael Camp, 56, of no fixed address was arrested for drinking in public.

Melissa Tyra, 19, of Spotsylvania was arrested for underage possession of alcohol.

Calib Daley, 20, of Spotsylvania was arrested for underage possession of alcohol.

Hope Bowers, 22, of Stafford was arrested for public intoxication.

Dariel Nelson, 22, of Stafford was arrested for public intoxication.

Foster Kelly, 19, of Fredericksburg was arrested for underage possession of alcohol.

Alden Scott Rogers, 49, of no fixed address was arrested for domestic assault and battery
(felony).

Cooper Graham, 18, of Fredericksburg was arrested for public intoxication, underage
possession of alcohol, and possession of fictitious identification.

Gregory Newton, 28, of Fredericksburg was arrested for domestic assault and battery.

Deantre Scott, 18, of Spotsylvania was arrested for trespassing and assault and battery.
