Police Say Fist Fight Leads Two Women To Jail

Police said the incident started on Howison Avenue and ended at the 7-Eleven on Lafayette Boulevard.

Two cars are damaged and two women went to jail after an alleged fist fight Sunday morning in Fredericksburg.

Fredericksburg Police spokeswoman Natatia Bledsoe said the incident happened at 2:25 a.m. when officers responded to the 7-Eleven at 905 Lafayette Boulevard for a fight involving two women. An officer noticed that a Nissan Altima and a Chevrolet Malibu were both damaged and personal belongings were strewn on the ground near both cars,  Bledsoe said.

"With the vehicles were two females who each had torn clothing and apparent injuries. The two females reported that they had gotten into a fist
fight on Howison Avenue and then had each gotten into their vehicles to leave the area," Bledsoe said.

Bledsoe said the driver of the Nissan sideswiped the Chevrolet, which damaged both cars. Both drivers then entered the parking lot of the 7-Eleven, exited their cars and continued their fist fight.

Christina Lewis-Graves, 21, of Fredericksburg, was arrested for malicious wounding and incarcerated at the Rappahannock Regional Jail under no bond. Talaya Turner, 29, of Fredericksburg, was arrested for assault and battery and felony hit and run. Turner was incarcerated under a $1,000 bond.

Both women were treated at the scene and did not need to go to a hospital, Bledsoe siad.
