Two Injured in Car Crash on Carl Silver Parkway

Fredericksburg fire department personnel extricated one person using the Jaws of Life.

Two people were transported to Mary Washington Hospital after their vehicles -- a Jeep Wagonner and a Ford Ranger pick-up truck -- collided Monday afternoon on Carl Silver Parkway in Central Park.

"One person in each of the vehicles was injured," Deputy Fire Chief Mike Jones said.  "The person in the Jeep Wagonner was extricated using the 'Jaws of Life'," he said.  The injuries appeared to be non-life threatening, Jones said.

The accident occurred in front of the Target Store.
