Waitress Assaulted at Buffalo Wild Wings

The incident occurred about 1 a.m. Friday.

A waitress at Buffalo Wild Wings was assaulted early Friday morning after identifying an underage drinker, according to Natatia L. Bledsoe, Fredericksburg Police Department public information officer.

The waitress reported she checked [the ID] of an underage female who was consuming alcohol, who was then escorted out of the restaurant by security personnel.

"A short time later, while the waitress was cleaning a table, three friends of the underage patron confronted the waitress and assaulted her by striking
her repeatedly and pulling her hair," Bledsoe said. "A male patron intervened and removed the victim from the fight."

The assailants then left the scene in a white Nissan. The victim was checked by personnel from the Fredericksburg Rescue Squad, but she denied the need to be transported to the hospital, Bledsoe said.

The three assailants were described as:

  • A black female in her early 20s with long hair in a weave style and wearing a red pea coat;
  • A black female in her early 20s, approximately 5 feet tall and 145 pounds with long straight hair;
  • A black female also in her early 20s.

The investigation is ongoing.

These people who assaulted the waitress do not know the consequences for under age drinking........first she could lose her job if she was caught by abc, seems like someone should have checcked her id earlier, its sad when the waitress was doing her job and gets roughed up for it .too bad you didnt get it on tape.

Bars should all be 21 and up

Buffalo Wild wings is hardly a bar. More like a place to eat that serves alcohol. If you banned everyone but 21 and up, what will the 18-21 year olds do in there free time. Its hard enough as it is trying to keep that age group entertained. What we need is heavier penalties for being caught and a little more respect.

Yea Buffalo Wild Wings is not a bar However after a certain time of night one would think otherwisw. This waitress was just doing her job and for the security personel that let this happen should be fired. If you are a bouncer, security guard or a secret service wanna be or whatever you think you are then your sole purpose in life is the safety of the customers and oh yeah everyone else. If it means hiriing more security then so be it. My heart goes out to this young lady that was savagely beat just because of some stupid immature group of adult wanna bees
