Weapons Violation, Aggravated Assault at Aladin

There were two incidents at the restaurant in the early hours of November 10. Where an arrest is mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

A City of Fredericksburg police officer patrolling in the area of Aladin Restaurant & Cafe just after midnight on Saturday night heard 4 to 5 shots fired, according to Fredericksburg Police Department Public Information Officer Natatia Bledsoe.  Security guards at the 2056 Plank Road restaurant identified two vehicles speeding from the scene.

Officers stopped one of the possible suspect vehicles on Interstate 95, Bledsoe said.  The occupants were checked and identified, then released without charges. Shell casings were recovered from the parking lot in front of Aladin. No one was injured in this incident. The investigation is ongoing, Bledsoe said.

At about 1:10 a.m. a customer reported a fight involving 12 - 15 people
inside the business.  The customer told police when he intervened in defense of a friend, a bouncer struck him in the head with a tactical baton, Bledsoe said.
