Woman Sets Up Male Friend for Armed Robbery

The following information was supplied by the City of Fredericksburg Police Department. Where an arrest is mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

A Spotsylvania resident intending to help a female friend was allegedly robbed by that woman and two other men.

The Spotsylvania resident reported a female friend picked him up at his home at about 3:10 a.m. Nov. 15 and drove to the Sheetz at 2001 Carl D Silver Parkway in order to put gas in her car, according to Fredericksburg Police Public Information Officer Natatia Bledsoe.

The victim gave the female money for the fuel. After paying the clerk, the female started talking to two male subjects standing outside the doors of the business.

The two males got into the back seat of the car, with the male victim in the passenger seat and the female driving.

One of the males in the back seat placed an object the victim believed was a gun against the back of the victim’s head, demanding his cash and cell phone, according to Bledsoe. The victim turned over the phone and a small amount of cash.

The female then drove to an ATM in Central Park, where the victim was told to withdraw more money. Instead, the victim ran to the nearby Wawa on Carl D. Silver Parkway and called police.

Investigators were able to identify the female from surveillance video obtained from the Sheetz.  Bledsoe said Shaina Ramirez, 25, of Stafford, was arrested that afternoon in the Four Mile Fork area of Spotsylvania County.

Additional information was received regarding the identity of the two
male subjects, and Christopher Fox, 21, and Mark Reynolds, 22, both of Spotsylvania, were arrested by Spotsylvania County deputies a short time later.

Ramirez, Fox, and Reynolds were all charged with armed robbery and conspiracy to commit armed robbery.  They were incarcerated at the Rappahannock Regional Jail and held without bond.
