Wrapped Christmas Gifts Found Near Old Plank and Spotswood Furnace Roads

The Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Office is hoping to find the owner of the gifts.

By Capt. Jeff Pearce, Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Department

At approximately noon Saturday, Dec. 21, a citizen found a container on the side of the road, with several wrapped Christmas gifts inside.  The gifts are for a child.  The concerned citizen contacted Sheriff’s Deputies and turned the container over to them.  These gifts were found in the area of Old Plank Road and Spotswood Furnace Road.

Sheriff Roger L. Harris has asked that we contact all local media outlets to attempt to locate the owner of these lost Christmas gifts and return them, so that the child for whom these gifts were so carefully prepared, will have a wonderful Christmas celebration.

The wrapped gifts will be at the Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office Headquarters, located at 9119 Dean Ridings Ln.  If anyone wishes to claim the lost package, please contact the Sheriff’s Office at 540-582-7117.  The rightful owner of these lost gifts should be able to describe the container in which the gifts were stored as well as the name and info on the tags within.
