The public hearing on the Fall Hill Avenue widening and Mary Washington Boulevard extension has been rescheduled for 5 to 8 p.m. Nov. 26 at James Monroe High School.
The meeting had been scheduled for Oct. 29, but was moved because of weather conditions during Superstorm Sandy.
The hearing will consist of a short presentation at the top of each hour (same presentation each time), with the remainder of time dedicated to attendees viewing preliminary (30 percent) plans and other documents related to the project, according to the city. The materials will be displayed around the room, and citizens may comment on the plans and/or ask questions of the project engineers, city staff and VDOT representatives.
A court stenographer will be present to record any comments attendees wish to enter into the official record of the hearing.
Following the hearing is a 10-day comment period, with those comments also included in the hearing record.
Questions or comments may be directed to Doug Fawcett, Director of Public Works, 540-372-1023; firstname.lastname@example.org.
