"It was more of a campaign speech than a State of the Union address. He proposed ideas with no way to pay for them. He threatened to circumvent the Constitutional legislative process by the use of Executive Orders. He expects the economy to grow just because he said to would." - Michelle

"There was a State of the Union address last night? Let's see way too much spending, way too many unemployed and a heath care system that is going to cost a min. $20,000.00 per and the attack on the 2nd amendment. State of the Union= horrible and disgraceful, just my opinion." - Chris

"Didn't bother to watch as it is the same speech every year regardless of who the President or party in office is, it is the speech of the dis-union, plus the same Jack-in-the-Box clowns(Congress) popping up on to clap on cue like the monkeys they truly are." - Dan

"I've long ago grown tired of being spoon fed lies. I believe exactly zero words from these politicians. All I hear is, "blah, blah, blah, raping your rights, blah, blah, blah, taking your money." -Danielle

"I didn't vote for him, but feel as an American I must respect him and the position he holds. that said. I found his speech to be a great motivating tool with some good ideas and am hopeful that across party lines we can work together to pass the goals of the President to facilitate this country in moving forward!" - Tanya

"I liked the mention of IBM ( my company) working together for the kids futures. This is the type of schooling we need to be competitive. I am shocked that Clinton. Bushes and even Obama ignored this need and it took a visionary education leader in NYC to implement. And what's worse he made it sound like his idea or program. Aargh." - Chad

A full transcript of the speech as it was prepared is provided by the White House.
