How the 1st Congressional District Voted

How the areas in the 1st congressional district voted.

Just after midnight on election day, candidate Adam Cook (D) posted on his campaign Facebook page thanking his family and campaign team for their dedication during his campaign for the 1st Congressional District.

The post on Cook's page read:

"We came up a little short but I'm proud of the race we've run and will never forget the people I've met, the stories we've shared, the work that we did and all we accomplished together. Most of all, I will always treasure all of the new friends I've made around Virginia's First District and beyond. I don't know what the next chapter of my life will hold, but I hope that you'll all be a part of it."
