VDOT Invites Resident Input at Fredericksburg District Transportation Meeting

Comments sought on current Six-Year Improvement Program and future needs for highway, rail and public transit projects

The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT)’s Fredericksburg District is seeking public input about transportation projects funded in the current Six-Year Improvement Program (SYIP) and for future transportation improvements.

The meeting will be held:

Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2013
University of Mary Washington
Stafford Campus - University Hall (North Building)
125 University Boulevard
Fredericksburg, VA 22406

Meeting schedule:

  • 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. − Open house displays and general discussion
  • 7 p.m. − Moderated public meeting

Representatives from VDOT, the Virginia Department of Rail and Public Transportation (DRPT), metropolitan planning organizations (MPOs), and planning district commissions (PDCs) will be at the meeting to discuss their respective projects and programs.

VDOT’s 14-county Fredericksburg District includes the counties of Caroline, King George, Spotsylvania and Stafford in the Fredericksburg area; Northumberland, Richmond, Lancaster and Westmoreland counties in the Northern Neck; Essex, Gloucester, King & Queen, King William, Mathews and Middlesex counties in the Middle Peninsula.
