Susan Allen, Anne Holton Campaign in Fredericksburg

The Senate candidates' wives visited Fredericksburg on Wednesday.

Susan Allen, wife of Virginia's Republican Senate candidate George Allen, and Anne Holton, wife of Virginia's Democratic Senate candidate Tim Kaine, both campaigned in Fredericksburg on Oct. 10.

At a lunch event at Ristorante Renatos, Susan Allen met with some two dozen women who are small business and community leaders.  “It is so encouraging to be here in Fredericksburg with so many successful women business leaders whose innovation is central to getting our economy moving again,” said Allen.

“Small businesses are facing enormous challenges in this economy, with burdensome regulations and taxes from the federal government along with the uncertainty over the new health care tax law that has made it difficult for them to grow and create new jobs," she told those gathered.
