Germanna Opens Central Park Corporate Offices

The community college held a ribbon cutting on October 2.

Germanna Community College opened its new Education Foundation and Marketing & Public Information office at Central Park Corporate Center on Tuesday.  The college leased 2,330 square feet at 1320 Central Park Boulevard within Central Park, a 2.5 million-square-foot power center located off I-95 on Route 3 in Fredericksburg.

"This area of Central Park has undergone quite a transformation over the last several years from South Beach/art deco architecture to a business center, attracting office users such as Germanna Community College, GSA and InSysCo,” said Henry Fonvielle, president of The Rappaport Companies, which owns approximately 600,000 square feet of space in Central Park.

Rappaport held a Tuesday night rebranding reception to highlight the change in the location from retail to business.

During the last two years, businesses have leased approximately 40,000 square feet of office space in the 250,000-square-foot corporate center area of Central Park, according to Fonvielle. These include:

  • a 2,330-square-foot lease with Germanna Community College
  • a 2,533-square-foot lease with Fredericksburg Oral Surgery
  • a 1,679-square-foot lease with Eagle Security Group
  • a 3,510-square-foot lease with Get Sold Realty
  • a 9,446-square-foot lease with the GSA

The IRS, Met Life and Liberty Mutual Insurance Company expanded their existing operations at Central Park Corporate Center, and InSysCo relocated from downtown Fredericksburg to Central Park Corporate Center.

Central Park Corporate Center is owned and managed by The Rappaport Companies. Office leasing is handled by Jamie Scully of Cushman & Wakefield/Thalhimer.
