Financial Freedom

This Saturday, February 11 Rappahannock United Way will host a Financial Freedom event in conjunction with its free tax preparation program.  From 10am to 2pm, clients can have their tax returns prepared free of charge.  Volunteers from Wells Fargo, Union First Market Bank, Virginia Saves, and Central Virginia Housing will be there to pull free credit reports and offer credit counseling.  At 10:30am and 12:30pm these volunteer groups will lead workshops on how to maintain good credit and be financially secure.  The event is free, and no appointments are necessary.  Participants should bring a credit report if they have had one pulled this year; if not, bring information about bank accounts and any major loans/lines of credit.

For more information about the Financial Freedom event or the Tax Services program, visit www.rappahannockunitedway.org/taxservices.html or call (540) 373-0041.
