Financial Freedom Event

This Saturday, April 7 Rappahannock United Way will host a Financial Freedom event in conjunction with its free tax preparation program at the Central Rappahannock Regional Library Headquarters in downtown Fredericksburg.  From 9am to 5pm, clients can have their tax returns prepared free of charge.  Volunteers from a local bank will be there to pull free credit reports and offer credit counseling from 9am to 1pm.  The event is free, and no appointments are necessary.  Participants should bring a credit report if they have had one pulled this year; if not, bring information about bank accounts and any major loans/lines of credit.

Rappahannock United Way will also offer free tax preparation from 9am to 5pm at the same location, as well as a second location at Rappahannock United Way, available to anyone making $50,000 or less.  Join the 875-plus people who have already had over $1.2 million returned to them this year.

For more information about the Financial Freedom event or the Tax Services program, visit www.rappahannockunitedway.org/taxservices.html or call (540) 373-0041.
