Fredericksburg City Schools Host Parent Night

Fredericksburg City Public Schools (FCPS) will host parent night on Tuesday, Oct. 23, at James Monroe High School for parents of all K through 12 students.  

Dinner will be served at 6 p.m., followed by a welcome from FCPS Superintendent Dr. David G. Melton at 6:45 p.m.

Parents are invited to attend their choice of two workshops from 7 - 8 p.m. The workshop choices are:

“What activities are available for my child after school hours?”

Target Audience: Parents of ESL Students

“Organization and Study Skills for Students”
Andrew West, School Counselor, Walker-Grant Middle School
Target Audience: All

“Bullying Must Stop: Tips for Parents”

Target Audience: All

“Building Social and Emotional Intelligence for Academic and Workplace Success”

“What parents need to know about Virginia’s Sex Offender Registry”
Senior Trooper Sean B. Myers, Virginia State Police – Sex Offender Investigative Unit (Region II)
