Longer School Days in Spotsylvania Beginning Monday

Snow days cause drastic measure by Spotsylvania School District. Check out new dismissal times.

The school day will be extended in Spotsylvania County Public Schools after a measure approved by the school board Monday to address a bitter winter that led to a pile of unaccounted for snow days.

Set to begin on Monday, March 17, the change will add an additional 25 minutes on to the end of the school day for the rest of the school year. It is an effort to meet state requirements on instructional time.
