Parrish Learning Zone Collecting School Supplies For Needy Children

The drop-off location is at 4026 Plank Road, Lake of the Woods Church.

The Parrish Learning Zone launched its PLZ Give School Supplies Drive that will benefit Spotsylvania County needy students.

Parrish Learning Zone is a family and teacher owned tutoring service that provides K-12 customized tutoring and SAT prep. The owners, Jay and Nina Parrish, will be giving away backpacks (up to 48) to hold the donated supplies for needy children attending Spotsylvania County schools.

"As current and former public school teachers, we know how heartbreaking it is to see students show up on the first day of school, second week of school, and third week of school, with no supplies," the Parrishes said in a press release. "We also know how hard teachers, principals, counselors, and other school staff work to make sure that students get the supplies that they need"
