With freezing rain expected during the early-morning commute Friday, area public schools have made decisions about school openings on Friday, January 10.
Fredericksburg City Schools will be opening two hours late on Friday.
Spotsylvania County Public Schools are closed Friday. Twelve-month employees are on Code 2.
All Stafford County Public Schools are closed today, Friday, January 10. Employees are on Code 2. Administrative offices open at 10 a.m.
From the district: "This decision is based on numerous reports of hazardous road conditions throughout the county and the continuation of freezing rain through 9 a.m. (which is the time high school students would be on the way to school with the two hour delay)."
