Virginia Home Care Partners Provides Services Without Minimum Hour Requirements

Virginia Home Care Partners provides non-medical companion and personal care services for all ages.

Karen Koudelka saw a need for customized home care services without a minimum time requirement.

"With my background in hospice care, I served many families who either did not need or could not afford the minimum service hours most home care agencies require," Koudelka said.  "I wanted to create a locally owned and operated home care agency that partnered with clients at their point of need -- as defined by the client, not a business."

Karen partnered with Peter Getts to create Virginia Home Care Partners.

Virginia Home Care Partners focuses on the clients needs, then partners with staff and the community to develop a plan for improving outcomes and meeting those needs.  The care partners -- those who provide the services -- are highly trained.

"Our mission is to provide professional, compassionate and individualized care to our clients," Koudelka said.  "We also give clients’ family and friends peace of mind in knowing their loved one can remain safely, independently and with dignity in their own home."

Many Virginia Home Care clients take advantage of the no minimum service hours’ policy.  "Our client-centered focus enables people to obtain service without minimum requirements," Koudelka said. "We provide services for those who only need an hour of service once a week, a few hours of service a day or occasional respite for family caregivers, to more extensive home care needs. Virginia Home Care Partners spans the gap for individuals in need."
