Sounds of Summer Kick-Off  7 p.m. Friday, May 3, in Market Square with Elby Brass, Fredericksburg’s own street brass band.

First Saturday Market 7 a.m. - 2 p.m. Saturday, May 4, at Hurkamp Park.

Walk and Festival for Mental Wellness  9 a.m. Saturday, May 4, at Hurkamp Park.

Armed Forces Community Covenant Celebration 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. Saturday, May 4, at Central Park Corporate Center, 1320 Central Park Blvd.

Rappahannock Adult Activities Mayfest 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. Saturday, May 4, at 750 Kings Highway, three miles east of the Chatham Bridge.

Great Train Race and Caboose Run 7 a.m. - Noon Sunday, May 5.  Runners line up at the Fredericksburg Train Station for the one-mile Great Train Race and the 400-yard Caboose Run.  The finish line is at City Dock.
