The University of Mary Washington men's basketball team lost 72-68 against Salisbury University on Saturday afternoon. The Eagles are now 13-7 overall and 7-5 in Capital Athletic Conference play.
Salisbury jumped out to an early lead, and held a lead of as many as 10 points in the opening frame. The Eagles trailed by nine, 34-25, at halftime.
UMW went on an eight point run to open the second half, cutting Salisbury's advantage to one, 34-33 within the first minute of the second half. With a little more than six minutes left to play, UMW held a lead of five points, but Salisbury secured a four point lead after an 11-2 run.
UMW struggled from the floor, shooting only 38% to Salisbury's 46%. They were led by 15 points from freshman Bradley Reiser. Salisbury was led by 23 points from David Pearman.
