Play It Again Sports Sends Soccer Cleats to Haiti

The Fredericksburg store partnered with Global Outreach And Love of Soccer (GOALS) to help in Haiti.

Fredericksburg's Play it Again Sports is helping families in Haiti.

Michael Donohue, owner of the sports store in Eagle Village shopping center, donated 100 pairs of soccer cleats to Global Outreach And Love of Soccer (GOALS), a Haiti-based organization which uses soccer to engage kids and their parents in education, health and development work.

“We are grateful for Michael’s donation, which will help continue our work in rural parts of Haiti, where it’s needed most," said Jolinda Hackett, GOALS’ Haiti-based country director.

GOALS is a non-profit organization incorporated in the United States and headquartered in Leogane, Haiti, the epicenter of the 7.0 earthquake which devastated the region in 2010.
