VDOT Public Hearings on Spotsylvania Intersection Projects
The public is invited to review proposed designs and submit comments on two projects.
The public is invited to attend public hearings on Jan. 7 and Jan. 9 for two separate intersection projects in Spotsylvania County.
VDOT is proposing to lengthen a turn lane and add an additional turn lane on Route 628 (Smith Station Road) on the northbound approach to Route 208 (Courthouse Road).
Also, a separate project is proposed to modify the traffic signal and median at the intersection of Route 639 (Leavells Road) and Route 620 (Harrison Road).

Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) staff will be available continuously from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. at both public hearings to share proposed design plans and maps, answer questions and accept comments on the project.
There will be no formal presentation at either hearing.
For anyone unable to attend the Smith Station Road project hearing, comments may also be submitted through the close of business on Jan. 21, 2014.
