Exploring Food at The Kids Expo Fredericksburg

A look at kids and food from Dina Rose during Sunday seminar.

The Kids Expo Fredericksburg is this weekend, Feb. 22-23, at the Fredericksburg Expo Center, 2371 Carl D Silver Pkwy.

At the top of a busy schedule: author Dina Rose with a seminar on teaching children to explore new foods. Rose is the author of "It's Not About the Broccoli: Three Habits to Teach Your Kids for a Lifetime of Healthy Eating."

Rose writes the blog "It's Not About the Nutrition" and is a contributor to Psychology Today and The Huffington Post.

Rose will be holding the seminar at 1 p.m. Sunday.

Kids Expo admission is $8 for adults and $3 for children 4-12 at the door. Discounts for online ticket orders and seniors. Kids 3 and under are admitted for free.

The event will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.

There will be tons for kids to do, too. Including an electric train inside the expo center, inflatables, moon bounce, Engineering For Kids, and a 3-D printer attraction presented by the Central Rappahannock Regional Library.
