Fredericksburg Father’s Day Weekend Events

Mark your calendars for fun events happening in Fredericksburg all weekend.

Father's Day weekend has arrived, and it comes with no shortages of activities for the whole family. Of course, taking Dad out to dinner and spending some quality time at home with the family is always nice and relaxing, but there’s also great events happening in Fredericksburg all weekend that could be just as fun.

Here’s the lineup for the weekend:

Saturday, June 14:

  • 22nd Annual Big Bike Show. Is Dad big on bikes? Entry is free to the bike show, and the first 150 bikers entered will also receive a free T-shirt. The event kicks off at 9 a.m. at Waugh Enterprises Harley-Davidson (385 Waugh Blvd.), and will include live music by Eli Cook, food vendors, activities for the kids, Fairfax Motor Squad riding demos and more.
  • Grapes & Grains Trail Father’s Day Festival. Although it’s technically not on Father’s Day, the festival will run from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the A. Smith Bowman Distillery (1 Bowman Dr.). The festival includes live music, classic cars, vendors  including one from Cuba who will be hand-rolling cigars -- ice-cold beer, mixed drinks and wine.
  • Montgomery Gentry. Celebrate Virginia Live, sponsored by Miller Lite, presents Montgomery Gentry at the Pancho Villa Pavillion at 6 p.m. Buy tickets and check out the rest of the Celebrate Virginia lineup here.
  • Bittersweet Band 25th Anniversary - gives back. Take the night off and go out for a fun dance -- Dad can get his dancing shoes on. Bittersweet Band will hold a benefit dance for feeding America, a non profit organization that gives 98% of all its proceeds to feeding children and senior citizens. The dance will be from 8 p.m. to midnight at Yak-A-Doo’s (564 Warrenton Rd.).

Sunday, June 15:

So ask Dad which events he wants to go to and enjoy the weekend! Happy Father’s Day.
